1) Peer pressure is a significant factor in teenage sexual behavior. Adolescents may feel compelled to engage in sexual activity because they hear about their peers doing it without experiencing negative consequences like pregnancy. They may fear being labeled as cowardly or lacking the bravery to take risks if they do not participate.
2) Exposure to media can also influence teenage sexual behavior. With little to no regulation of explicit content, adolescents may be exposed to sexual content.
3) When teenagers abuse drugs such as alcohol and cigarettes, it can impair their judgment and cause them to engage in risky sexual behavior.
4) Rape and other forms of forced pregnancies are a result of sexual exploitation, especially among younger women who are often coerced into sexual acts in exchange for money. These females are not at fault as they did not willingly choose to engage in sexual activity and had no other option. Although rare, instances of forced pregnancies highlight the innocence of the victim and their lack of agency in the situation.
1) Risk to the child: when born to a mother who is not physically prepared for pregnancy. The baby may experience developmental issues due to the mother's undeveloped frame, which can lead to various health conditions. Some babies may not develop as well as others due to these factors.
2) Impact to the child: Children born to adolescent parents are more likely to face difficulties throughout their lives, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. These challenges include lower levels of education and poorer behavioral and physical health.
3) Finance: A study in the American Journal of Epidemiology claims.Teenage parents frequently don't finish their higher education. Compared to elder parents, they frequently have more limited economic options.
4) The Future: Teenage motherhood need not preclude a woman's future achievement. But it's very important that they take into account the challenges that earlier young moms had to deal with in terms of general health, financial stability, and the health of their child.
